Run Ravenfall on your stream

Setting it up

1. Unzip the client. Use 7-Zip or similar and extract it into a folder of its own.
2. Set a password. The client cannot sign in with Twitch, so it needs one of its own: set it on the password page.
3. Log in. Open the client and sign in with your Twitch username and that password. You should arrive in the village on Home island.
4. Join from chat. Type !join in your own channel. RavenfallOfficial replies and your character appears in the client.

Alt and Enter leaves fullscreen if you would rather it ran in a window. Two factor authentication on your Twitch account is only needed if you intend to run your own bot rather than the official one, and Twitch explains that here.

What it needs to run

Operating system

64 bit Windows 10 or later. Linux is untested.

Processor

An i5-6700 or equivalent, with at least four cores.

Graphics

A GTX 970 or equivalent. A dedicated card rather than integrated.

These are estimates for about 25 players. More players than that wants more machine. Tell us what you are running on Discord and we will sharpen these numbers.

Worth knowing

• The client has to be running for characters to earn experience, even when your stream is offline.
• It does not have to be on screen. Plenty of streamers run it offscreen and bring it up for raids and dungeons.
• Viewers can play while you are offline by typing in twitch.tv/popout/[username]/chat.
• Free camera is Ctrl and Tab, which is what you need to set town bonuses.
• Town plots boost a skill for everyone playing on your stream. Assign them in free camera at the Home village, or from your town page.
• Do not spread your town too thin. On a new server, putting everything into one skill is usually better than a little of each.
• The music is public domain, so you are free to use it on stream.
• If the player list size resets after a restart, open the UI settings and it comes back.
